Am I Weird? No! I’m Not! – Written by Gilbert Jay Orbeta

A young teenage boy full of life, full of dreams and hope….A picture of God’s magnificent work.

 

            Everyday he goes to school with his skateboard and sometimes with his guitar and speaker. Indeed, for those who did not really know him, they will say that he is unusual and different from other boys in the school; they might also say that he has his own world.

 

            After classes, you will often see him in one corner of the school ground strumming his guitar and singing his favorite music alone. And in the absence of his guitar, he is in his skateboard, playing around the basketball court as if he is the only one around. Imagining, that he is like a bird soaring up in the sky releasing the stress of life.

 

            Obviously, his hobby is extraordinary, seldom boys like his age lack interest both in playing guitar and skateboard. But for him, they are worthwhile hobbies and something that can be proud of.

 

            In playing guitar, he is able to shows his inner emotion towards life. He is also able to convey his loneliness, happiness, defeat and victory. Music is life itself for him.

 

            When he rides in his skateboard, he feels his freedom to live in this wonderful world that God created for him. He feels that he is like flying toward the realization of his dream and reach his success.

 

            With these two hobbies, he attains happiness that nobody around him could give.

 

            His beloved parents understand him because they know that he is like other teenage boy that can be trusted, obedient and God fearing.

 

            Now, tell me, if I’m weird. I will directly answer you that…No! I’m not!

  1. Nice! It brings back the memory of my high school year when I was a budding writer of our school organ. Explore your passion and do not put into oblivion this talent of yours despite you wish to take another road. Few people are gifted with writing skills and you are one them so keep it up!
